Information for Current SEF Members
Welcome to the SEF Members Info Page!
News List:
All new members are automatically added to our NewsList, which carries
moderator-posted announcements and reminders (usually monthly, or inter-Sabbatly)
for SEF-sponsored activities. Non-members may also join this list. If you are currently a member, and
for some reason you are not on the NewsList, (OR if you have a friend who would like to receive announcements about upcoming events)
please email us and select "NewsList".
Program Proposals:
Have an idea?
The strength of any organization is in its members. To that end, the SEF wants to encourage our members
to get involved. Are you a current member interested in planning a program for SEF members or presenting a workshop for
SEF members and non-members? If so we’d love to hear from you! Please download the SEF Program Proposal
Form (below), fill it out, and send it to us. Once we receive your proposal, the Board of Directors will be in touch
with you about it.
Full Membership
is offered for current Supporting members who have been in good standing for one year or more, and who are active in one or more member-supported committees to support ongoing SEF projects. As an additional part of their commitment, Full members vote in the election of Directors and other matters of the Society, and may be nominated to serve on the Board of Directors.
Applicants for Full membership must be sponsored by a member of the Board of Directors.
Renewal Forms:
Each year, all memberships are renewed between Samhain (November 1) and the Annual Meeting at the end of February.
We'll mail you renewal forms with the Yule issue of the SEF Messenger; but if you want to renew earlier, or if you lost your renewal form, please download a form below.
When to Renew:
Since all memberships are renewed during the Samhain - Imbolg season, if you don't renew until (for example) Lammas,
you will still be asked to renew again at Yule. We cull unrenewed memberships at Spring/Beltain, so it is to your advantage
to renew during the Renewal Season.
How to Renew: The best way is to write a check from an account with your name on it,
with the word "dues" in the memo field, and EITHER bring it to the Annual Meeting
OR mail it to us at: PO Box 30, Marlborough MA 01752. There have been two or three issues with delivery at the PO Box in the last 12 years, but many more problems with checks lost or forgotten
when the "give-it-to-somebody-to-give-to-somebody" method has been used. Though we are all well-intentioned, SEF Board Members are all
volunteers and already have plenty on their minds. They see each other in person fairly infrequently, and the Administrative Witch even less frequently.
SO, the Annual Meeting or the PO Box are the surest ways to go with your very important Renewal Form and Check! Thank you!
